Trail Ambassador Spotlight: Gabby Jones
Wellness Educator
Gabby Jones is a passionate community wellness educator who believes that strong, healthy communities begin with emotional awareness, connection, and access to nature. Her work centers on teaching practical skills that support mental health and overall well-being, helping people of all ages build resilience, creativity, and self-awareness.
With a deep love for working with children, Gabby is especially dedicated to creating safe, supportive spaces where young people can explore their emotions, develop confidence, and learn healthy coping tools. She believes that when children are given the opportunity to connect with themselves and the world around them, they grow into grounded, compassionate adults who care deeply about their communities and the land they inhabit.
A free-spirited adventurer at heart, Gabby has traveled across the country, with only three states left to complete her map. Her time on the road has deepened her appreciation for diverse landscapes, communities, and ways of life, reinforcing her belief that nature is one of our greatest teachers. She thrives outdoors, often barefoot under the sun, finding joy, clarity, and balance in wild and open spaces.
As a Trail Ambassador with Mountain West Recreation Alliance, Gabby brings a unique wellness-focused perspective to stewardship. She understands that caring for the land and caring for ourselves are deeply connected. Through education, presence, and intentional connection, she helps bridge outdoor recreation with mental and emotional well-being, reminding others that time on the trail can be both grounding and transformative.
More than simply teaching tools for personal success, Gabby’s mission is to share them across generations — empowering individuals, families, and communities to support, uplift, and grow together. Her approach reflects the heart of MWRA: stewardship through education, connection, and respect for the spaces we all share.
