Ryan Scovill is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with seven years of honorable service. He brings the discipline, leadership, and resilience forged in the military into his work as a dedicated public land advocate with Mountain West Recreation Alliance.

Passionate about protecting access to Idaho’s wild spaces, Ryan plays a key role in organizing cleanups, educating the public on responsible recreation, and building strong partnerships with local communities and land managers. Whether it’s hauling out debris from a remote trail or speaking up for sustainable land use, Ryan leads by example—driven by a deep commitment to service and stewardship.

His journey is a powerful reminder that the mission to serve doesn’t end with the uniform—it evolves into a lifelong dedication to making a difference.
