Board Update
MWRA conducted a board candidate interview and officially welcomed Gabby Jones to the Board of Directors. The board discussed alignment, capacity, and 2026 priorities before confirming her appointment.
2026 Planning & Communications
The board discussed forward planning for 2026, including:

Social Media: Establishing a consistent content strategy focused on stewardship, education, project updates, volunteer recognition, and partner appreciation.

Monthly Newsletter: Continuing a monthly newsletter to share project progress, upcoming events, and opportunities to get involved.

Blogs: Blogs are scheduled for 2026 with clear expectations for consistency, accuracy, and mission-aligned storytelling.
Transparency & Impact Reporting
MWRA will complete impact reports for all events and projects, documenting volunteer hours, work completed, partners involved, and measurable outcomes. This supports transparency, accountability, and grant reporting.
Financial & Administrative Updates

Initial discussion took place regarding the 2026 budget, including project costs, outreach, and operational needs.

The board reviewed 2025 tax obligations and next steps to ensure compliance.
